Utrecht waits for King Bowl

Last updated 2 years ago by Jon Wilkins

Utrecht American Flag Football fans, King Bowl is nearly upon us!

On 4-5 May, the Utrecht Dominators will once again organize their annual two-day international flag football tournament, the King Bowl.

In recent years, the tournament has grown from 16 teams from 6 countries in 2017, to 40 teams from 14 different countries.

This makes this tournament one of the largest in Europe.

Among the participating teams are the German and Dutch national champions and top teams from Denmark, Italy, England and Russia.

The tournament starts on Saturday May 4 at 9 a.m.

We expect to start the finals, both ladies and gentlemen categories, on Sunday 5 May around 3 p.m.

Flag football is a contactless sport that is derived from American Football.

it has all the elements of American Football, but without the bone crunching tackles, so is ideal for all ages and sexes.

Why not drop in and see if you’d like to give it a go.

The sport is growing enormously worldwide and it is expected that the sport will be on the program in 2028 during the Los Angeles Olympic Games.

Utrecht Dominators will be hosting at Sportpark Overvecht Noord on Manitobadreef 4
