China Light Show attracts over 90,000 visitors

Last updated 6 years ago by UtrechtCentral.com

The organizers are satisfied with the number of visitors that turned up at the China Light Festival. A total of 90,000 people attended the event which took place at the Botanical Gardens in Utrecht.

“The pre-established goals have been well achieved,” said a spokesman. The organisers expected anywhere between 50,000 to 80,000 guests to turn up.

[gard align=’right’]The best day was on Friday January the 2nd when more than 7,000 visitors showed up. Even the entry gates had to close at one point due to capacity overload.

Visitors had the chance to become enchanted by these marvelous light sculptures placed tactfully within the perimeters of the botanical garden. Asian snacks and drinks were provided to set the tone and mood.

Light Festivals are an ancient Chinese tradition. The first China Light Festival took place two years ago in Rotterdam.
