Well back to the Stadion Galgenwaard!

The OranjeLeeuwinnen are now only two steps away from a place in the World Cup 2019.

On Friday 9 November the first leg of the final of the playoffs against Switzerland will be played, at 8 pm in De Galgenwaard. The regular ticket sale starts this Friday.

The Netherlands women’s team have played against Switzerland 22 times. The previous encounters have ended fifteen times in a victory for the Netherlands, five times in a draw, and twice in a victory for the Swiss. The last meeting took place on March 2, 2016. In the battle for qualifying for the Olympic Games, when the Netherlands won 4-3 inSwitzerland.

The winner of these last play-offs will qualify for the world championship women’s football. The World Championships will take place from 7 June to 7 July 2019 in France. A total of 24 countries participate.

Ticket sales

The exclusive pre-sale for the home game starts on Wednesday, October 17 at 12.00 for Dutch ClubCard holders.

Regular ticket sales start on Friday, October 19, also at noon. Tickets can be purchased through OnsOranje.nl/tickets.


The return in Switzerland will be played four days later, on November 13, at the LIPO Park in Schaffhausen. The kick-off of that game is at 19:00. Keep an eye on the KNVB website and their social medias for more information about that contest.
