The entrance of FC Utrecht’s Galenwaard Stadium got an elegant update last week to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the franchise.
The 23,000 seat arena got the make over with the help of T-Mobile which sponsored the project. The digital art wrap, which is over a hundred meters wide and fifty meters tall, was applied early last week and now covers the entire front facade of the building.
The giant graphic, which features a redesigned black and gold club emblem, announces the 50-year anniversary designation under the classic laurel victory wreath.
Team captain Willem Janssen is shown wearing a replica of the first FC Utrecht uniform, formerly a white jersey with red sleeves to honor the remembrance.
You can see the digital mural for yourself next Thursday evening, on the 20th of August, at the home game against Heerenveen.
