Hercules in Utrecht for 137 years!

Last updated 2 years ago by Jon Wilkins

This weekend sees celebrations in Utrecht as Hercules will celebrate the 137th anniversary of their  Utrechtse Sport Vereniging Hercules.

On Sunday Hercules will receive Goes, the sixth placed team in the Third Division. If our team win as they did last weekend against ADO ’20, they will pull themselves away from the relegation zone.

There is a full programme starting at 12:00 with the traditional Easter Egg Search for our juniors.

After the match, which starts at 14:00, we will drink to a prosperous future of Hercules.

We look forward to another year of successful Cricket, tennis (our first team on Saturday has just started the season with convincing victories in the first class of the competition), badminton and futsal.

This coming summer period, Hercules will have two more artificial turf pitches for both Cricket and Football.

This will enable us to grow.

Especially our womens division which is constantly growing, and where the first team on Saturday performs on the “hoofdklasse” level with great success.

We are also convinced that after 4 years of just missing the promotion our Saturday 1 team, can team hardly miss out on the opportunity of promotion.

Good Luck to All
