Dafne Schippers claims two medals this week in Beijing
Last updated byOur beloved Dafne Schippers put on a fantastic performance this week at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing. The 200 meter race was absolutely phenomenal only comparable to a Bugatti Veyron that comes blazing into first place towards the end of the race. The odds weren’t particularly in her favour comparing to her opponents but somehow she did manage to release that final burst of energy to the amazement of the spectating crowd.
The Utrecht born Dafne Schippers has been into athletics since she was 9 and has been accomplishing more throughout her career as a competent sportswoman. We have witnessed a steady increase in almost all the sports she takes part in such as the 100 meters where her fastest time has decreased by almost 2 seconds since 2007. The same goes for 200 meters where her time has improved by more than 2 and a half seconds.
Dafne has been blessed with the length and the build of a true athlete. With her strenuous training combined with such performances and the consistency in her game, we are sure Dafne will be able to set new records in the very near future. We congratulate her and wish her all the best with her further endeavours.
