The PoopMap; a must have for nature lovers

Last updated 7 years ago by UtrechtCentral.com

For those of you who like to go hiking in the woods, here is something that might grab your interest. The PoopMap (PoepKaart); a handheld legend you can take with you on your journeys to find and identity the fecal droppings of the various animal inhabitants of the forests.

Pioneer of the initiative, Jasper de Ruiter, describes the map as a gap in the market as hikers are always looking for something interesting to do.

De Ruiter has been drawing illustrations of animal feces for years now. He had accumulated so many drawings that he decided it was about time to issue the very first version of his PoopMap.”You come across so many different kinds of droppings in the forest,” exclaimed De Ruiter in an interview.

The card displays some 28 types of wild animal droppings. De Ruiter has already managed to sell some 150 examples; that’s more than he expected. “The map is intended for large groups going on excursions. For schools but also for nature lovers,” De Ruiter commented.
