Six more sex brothel boats shut down

Some 36 prostitutes will be looking for work elsewhere after authorities issued an order to shut down another six ‘brothel boats’ located at the Zandpad in Utrecht.

Two such boats were closed down earlier this month which led to the disappearance of a number of prostitutes who are still officially ‘missing’.

The Utrecht city hall is convinced that there is much illegal human trafficking taking place and a lack of supervision. The brothel boats provided some 144 working premises for the prostitutes.
