Provincial interest to centrally cultivate marijuana

Last updated by

Utrecht are interested in plans to centralize the cultivation of marijuana following ongoing debate on how the production of marijuana should become more controlled and regulated.

A new proposal to move forward with the initiative came more recently from Paul Hougast, an official representative from the city hall of Groningen. Mr. Houtgast is convinced that the right to cultivate marijuana should be handed over to farmers. By doing so, an extra source of income can be generated for both the cultivators and the entire province in the process.

Scientists are skeptical about the feasibility of the new proposition.
