Preparations underway for the start of the Tour de France

Last updated 5 years ago by

Initial preparations for the Tour de France start began on Monday evening. The Catharijnesingel and the Ledig Erf are the first locations to receive a facelift.

New lampposts have been placed and speed humps have been temporarily removed in many places. New traffic lights have been designed in such a way that they can easily be removed. Fresh asphalt is being laid many places where potholes have found their way into many road surfaces.

The Tour de France starts in Utrecht on the 4th of July. An agenda of events is already in the making so expect enough to do this summer.
