More properties available for sale in Utrecht
Last updated byThe number of homes for sale in the municipality of Utrecht has increased by more than 50% in just one year. The growth can be attributed to the sharp increase in the erection of new properties. The largest growth was measured in the districts Leidsche Rijn, Vleuten and De Meern where more than 95% of the new homes offered are located. Despite these additions, the supply is still too limited to adhere to the demand.
Less than 40 percent of the current Utrecht housing supply consists of newly-built homes. The report further states that Utrecht is the fifteenth most expensive Dutch municipality in the Netherlands and the fourth most expensive municipality nationwide considering those with inhabitants greater than 50,000. The most expensive is Amsterdam, followed by Amstelveen and Haarlem.
The findings are based on the first quarterly report of 2019 published by Molenbeek Makelaars.
