Main entrance to shopping center Hoog Catharijne soon inaccessible

Last updated by

The main entrance to the Hoog Catharijne Vredenburgplein will be temporarily moved to Achter Clarenburg from the 3rd of August due to a new round of construction work. Access to the city via the central station is expected to be impacted as a result.

The escalators leading to the main entrance will also be shut down. The remaining escalators located around the shopping center are expected to remain operational.

The construction work is necessary to make way for a new entrance to the shopping center from the Vredenburg Square. An additional 76 apartments will become available situated right above the main entrance. The construction work is expected to be completed a year from now.
