Free bus rides this King’s day

This King’s day, the province of Utrecht has collaborated with Syntus Utrecht to bring free bus transportation for travel within Amersfoort.

[gard align=”right”]Travelers can board these buses for free: lines 1 to 9, lines 17, 56 (from or to the Sun and Shield stop), 70 (from or to the Zandlaan stop), 76 (from or to the Zeldertseweg stop) and 80 (from or to the Leusbroekerweg / De Mof stop).

There’s also a free shuttle service between the parking lot at business park De Isselt and the center (Utrechtseweg) from 8 am to 6 pm. Visitors to the festivities could also take line 1 to return to the parking lot after 6 pm. You could board at city hall and get off at Mijnbouwweg. The last ride on line 1 is at 10.17 pm from Stadhuis.

Due to the visit of the royal family to Amersfoort, the bus time table has been modified for King’s day. Below is the time table for the free lines:

Line 1 Station Amersfoort – De Isselt / Soesterkwartier – Station Amersfoort
Line 1 runs all day through De Isselt to the Soesterkwartier. It runs under the Eemplein in both directions and does not stop at the Eemplein.  This line runs through the Eemplein tunnel, Nijveheidsweg-Noord and Limburgsestraat to Brabantsestraat.

Line 2 Station Amersfoort – Nieuwland – Station Amersfoort
Line 2 runs all day in both directions under the Eemplein and does not stop at the Eemplein.
In the direction of Nieuwland, line 2 runs via the Eemplein tunnel, Nijverheidsweg-Noord and Limburgsestraat to Brabantsestraat.

Line 3 Station Amersfoort – Vathorst
Line 3 runs under the Eemplein all day in both directions and does not stop at the Eemplein.
In the direction of Vathorst, line 3 runs through the Eemplein tunnel, Nijverheidsweg-Noord and Limburgsestraat to Brabantsestraat.

Line 4 Station Amersfoort – Kattenbroek – Station Amersfoort
Line 4 runs all day under Eemplein in both directions and does not stop at Eemplein.
In the direction of Kattenbroek, line 4 runs through the Eemplein tunnel, Nijverheidsweg-Noord and Limburgsestraat to Brabantsestraat.

Line 5  Station Amersfoort  – Schothorst / Vathorst
Line 5 in the direction of Amersfoort Station runs until 15:00 from station Koper Horst Koppel via Ring Road, Kwekersweg, Brabant Street, Eemplein tunnel to the station. After 3 p.m., line 5 will return to the normal route across the Stadsring and through Kruiskamp.
In the direction of Schothorst / Vathorst, line 5 only runs between 10:45 and 11:15 via the Eemplein tunnel, Brabantsestraat, Kwekersweg and Ringweg Koppel to Amersfoort Station. This line runs the normal route for the rest of the day.

Line 6 Station Amersfoort- Liendert and Rustenburg – Station Amersfoort
Line 6 to Station Amersfoort runs until 15:00 from stop Wielewaalstraat Kruiskamp via Ring Road, Ring Coupling, Kwekersweg, Brabant Street Eempleintunnel to the station. After 3 p.m., line 6 will return to the normal route via Stadsring and along Neptunusplein.
Line 6 to Liendert and Rustenburg only runs between 10:45 and 11:15 via the Eemplein tunnel, Brabantsestraat, Kwekersweg, Ringweg Koppel and Ringweg Kruiskamp to Station Amersfoort. This line runs the normal route for the rest of the day.

Line 7 Station Amersfoort – Schothorst / Vathorst
Line 7 runs all day in both directions by the Eemplein but does not stop at the Eemplein.
In the direction of Schothorst / Vathorst, line 7 runs via the Eemplein tunnel, Nijverheidsweg-Noord and Limburgsestraat to Brabantsestraat.

Line 8 Station Amersfoort – Schuilenburg – Amersfoort Station
Line 8 runs in the normal route.

Line 9 Station Amersfoort – The Eemgaarde
Line 9 runs in the normal route.

Line 17 Station Amersfoort – Leusden
Line 17 to Leusden only operates between 10:45 and 11:15 and goes via Queen Wilhelmina Avenue, Utrechtseweg, N221, Arnhemseweg / N226 and Green Zoom. This line will run the normal route for the rest of the day.
Line 17 to Amersfoort Station runs until 3:00 PM from the Haydnstraat stop via Ring Road Randenbroek, Gasthuislaan, Arnhemseweg, Bergstraat and Vlasakkerweg. After 3 p.m. this line will return to the normal route along the Heiligenbergerweg and the Stadsring.

Line 56 Amersfoort – Wijk bij Duurstede
Line 56 runs in the normal route.

Line 70 Amersfoort – Hilversum
Line 70 runs every 15 minutes between Soestdijk Noord and Amersfoort in the normal route until 9 p.m.

Line 76 Amersfoort Station – Bunschoten-Spakenburg – Central Station
Line 76 runs every quarter of an hour until 9 p.m. In both directions line 76 runs under the Eemplein and does not stop at the Eemplein.
Direction Bunschoten-Spakenburg line 76 runs through the Eemplein tunnel, Nijverheidsweg-Noord, Limburgsestraat to Brabantsestraat.

Line 80 Amersfoort – Rhenen Dierenpark
Line 80 to Rhenen runs between Koningin Wilhelminalaan, Utrechtseweg, N221, Arnhemseweg / N226 and Groene Zoom between 10:45 am and 11:15 am. This line runs the normal route for the rest of the day.
Line 80 to Central Station runs until 15:00 from Haydnstraat stop via Ring Road Randenbroek, Gasthuislaan, Arnhemseweg, Bergstraat and Vlasakkerweg. After 3 p.m., line 80 will return to the normal route along the HeilIgenbergerweg and the Stadsring.
