Ceiling collapses at Tivoli Vredenburg

Last updated by

A part of the ceiling has collapsed in the Venice hall at the new Tivoli Vredenburg building. No concert was underway when the incident happened.

Inspections to the ceiling have revealed the poor finish; a number of ceiling plates will have to be redone or replaced. Work is currently in progress and the job is expected to be completed within 24 hours.

Concerts scheduled to take place at the Venice hall for Wednesday have been rescheduled to take place at the Ronda hall.
