Artists receive lighting design award for Dom Tower

Last updated by

The Dom Tower has become the focal point for lighting specialists who have added a luminous touch to the local monument for viewers to admire throughout the night.

A new kind of LED technology has made it possible to create such an authentic and decorative show. It’s no wonder the artists were recently awarded the Lighting Design Award in London. A prize was also awarded to Philips for the innovative lighting technology which also consumes less energy.

Mark Major and Keith Bradshaw are the names behind the work who have effectively applied a fully interactive digitally controlled lighting technology; one that responds to chimes produced by the tower.
