Afellay buys penthouse in city center

Utrecht born and bred professional footballer, Ibrahim Afellay, has purchased a penthouse at De Vredenburg.

De Vredenburg, which commenced construction in February of 2011, consists of a series of luxurious, modern apartment blocks located in the heart of Utrecht’s city center. Sales began in July 2012 with prices starting at €188.000 up into the €550.000 range.

Afellay, attacking midfielder and winger of Moroccan/Dutch descent, started off his professional career in football for Eindhoven’s PSV before securing a contract with FC Barcelona. He is currently on loan to Germany’s Schalke 04. Afellay also played for the Dutch national side during the European Championships in Ukraine and Poland this year.
