The family have raised the reward to $40,000 for the golden tip that will lead to the two girls that disappeared in Panama on 1 April, a spokesman told on Monday. Previously, the rewards were set at $2,500 and $30,000.

The 22-year-old Lisanne Froon and the 21-year-old Kris Kremers from Utrecht disappeared without a trace in Boquete, 300 kilometers west of the capital, Panama City. The mountainous areas of Boquete have been extensively combed without a trace of where the two girls might be.
