Refugees show their gratitude towards city of Utrecht

Last updated 5 years ago by

Refugees taking shelter at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht thanked the gratified mayor of Utrecht Jan van Zanen with flowers and a thank-you letter yesterday. They are very pleased with the support they

have been receiving so far from the city and volunteers who are taking part in helping these vulnerable minority groups.

Their accommodation will not last forever; the 10th of November will be their last day before they will have to seek alternative housing possibilities.

The mayor expressed how we are currently living in very turbulent times. He heard a number of touching stories from the immigrants and hopes that they will soon be able to carry on with their lives in the Netherlands.
