Better lock up your pets. On Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 they are coming!

Who I hear you ask, fear in your voice?

Well its heavy metal gods, SAXON, Appearing at your very own Tivoli Vredenburg!

They started life as SOB in 1976 with founder members Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson. They then joined forces with another local band, Coast, featuring Biff Byford on vocals and Paul Quinn on guitar. The band re-christened themselves SAXON. They were at this time playing the usual rock clubs and concert gigs supporting the likes of The Ian Gillan Band, playing all their own material. They have gone from strength to strength over the years and in 2018 released their 22nd studio album Thunderbolt which will form the basis of the tour and their set at Tivoli.

Of course metal fans will be hoping for a reprise of their catalogue, but the great thing about Saxon is that they always move forward with the times. Biff Byford and Paul Quinn remain from the original line up and they are set to rock Utrecht!
