A state of Trance festival disrupted after Paul van Dyk “falls” off stage

A State of Trance was momentarily disrupted last night after East-German DJ Paul van Dyk fell off stage during a live performance. The main podium was shut down as a result but the remaining stages stayed open throughout the night leaving some 30,000 a dazzled and perhaps somewhat disappointed.

According to media hype, it seems he was leaving the set to do something when he seemed to have taken a wrong turn on the podium. He must have fallen quite a distance because a trauma helicopter was sent immediately to the scene to have him transported to the hospital for treatment.

Other videos clearly show that his action seemed deliberate after he began leaving the DJ set only to walk up to the front of the podium before jumping to the floor in a controlled fashion. He looked like Mega Man. See for yourself!

A State of Trance started as a weekly radio show organized by Armin van Buuren since 2001 and has only quite recently grown into a larger pop phenomenon.
