Utrecht will soon have their very own World Trade Center (WTC) to be inaugurated within the Papendorp commercial terrains this September. Licensee CBRE Global Investors have received approval from the WTC organization in New York.
With this first WTC formula in Utrecht, CBRE Global Investors found a role for the current Capgemini Campus to Papendorpseweg. This complex is abandoned by the IT company Capgemini for a short term, leaving about 32,000 m2 office space available. In the summer, the central public meeting has been renovated. In addition, various (trade) facilities have been created for the tenants in the World Trade Center as well as for the other users from the area.
WTC Papendorp’s office concepts offer a high quality guarantee for local and international companies and organizations where more upscale meetings and can be organized.
Anne de Jong, portfolio manager at CBRE Global Investors offices said: “The arrival of the WTC to Papendorp gives a boost to both the city of Utrecht and the regional area. In addition, the WTC formula meets the current needs of office workers; that is, a dynamic work environment.”
WTC ownership will be held by Jones Lang LaSalle, CBRE and DTZ.
