Luxury hotel and 350 apartments to be built at Jaarbeursplein

A four-star luxury hotel and 350 residential apartments are to be built at the Jaarbeursplein near Utrecht Central station by 2020 after a deal was reached between Utrecht City Hall and Amrâth Hotels.

The Amrâth Hotel, as it will be known, will take up the lower part of the tower while the apartments will be situated on the upper floors with the mega-cinema just a walking distance away. The whole building in its entirety will encompass some 52,000 square meters with enough space for 275 hotel rooms and 350 apartments.

The hotel will come with include restaurants, a bar, shops, several meeting rooms, a gym and possibly a wellness center. The residential suites will vary in scope and size and will include studios as well as penthouses on the top floors.

Although not all details are certain at this time, the project will target travelling businessmen and multi-person households with construction to commence in 2018.
