The French sports chain Decathlon, will open a brand new 4600 square meters store by the end of 2018 in Utrecht. The new store will be situated at The Wall, above the Mediamarkt.

In an exciting venture Decathlon will also stage sports events next to the store in the shopping center at Leidsche Rijn next to the A2.

Nick van de Sanden of Decathlon stated that it was Decathlons mission to make sports accessible to as many people as possible. The excellent accessibility and ample parking were reasons for Decathlon to settle in The Wall.

Owner of The Wall Barbara Ploeger of Propertize, also welcomes Decathlon. She praised the world-renowned sports retailer as being committed to making sport accessible for all and is therefore focusing on being active, a mission that fits in perfectly with the concept of The Wall Moves.

With this development, The Wall will add to their new projects such as a roller disco and a Play Paradise next to the site.

The Utrecht Decathlon will be the fifteenth store to be built in Holland.

Decathlon is active in 43 countries with more than 1400 stores and 80,000 employees.
