Any young ExPats out there who would like to write?

Do you want to write your poems or are you working on a novel? And do you want to develop further as a writer and spar with other writers? Then come to the Literaturjugend! Since the autumn of 2017, Het Literatuurhuis in Utrecht is a monthly writing workshop where young writers and poets come together and have the opportunity to present their own work and to give each other constructive feedback.

In addition to the meetings in which participants as a writer, meet with other writers and editors of De Nieuwe Oost (formerly Wintertuin), Literaturjugend and also performers from cultural festivals and events. For example, some of them took part at Manuscripta, the Reading Party in the Book Week, the New Types Festival and in the Vondelpark Open Air Theater. In short: a nice boost for any ones blossoming literary career.

Are you a young writer or poet and  want to develop as a writer and improve your texts? Then you are welcome to attend, all you need to do is sign up by emailing laurens@denieuweoost.nl. Each evening there is room for three performers to present their work. This is a chance to meet fellow writers of the same age and to share practice and ideas. the only way to improve writing!

De Literaturjugend is organized by De Nieuwe Oost, the literary production house based in Nijmegen, in collaboration with Het Literatuurhuis.
