Return of the Utrecht Virtual Writing Group!

Last updated by

Maybe I moved too fast in my idea to create a Virtual Writing Group and to go straightaway to producing a novel. So I will roll back from that.
Firstly, I should have asked, do the folks of Utrecht want a Writing Group and if they do, could they put up with it being online?
I know that not everybody has access to the internet and I should have thought of that, but you could get down to your local library. You can see from our web site what a great job they do and how they are happy to help.
Anyway, I will presume and I hope that you don’t mind that I am presuming, that Utrecht would like a new writing group and they would like to see it online, so I would like to reintroduce the Utrecht Virtual Writing Group.
What I would like you to do is to write a piece of creative writing about anything you like and email it to me at utrechtstories@btinternet.com. You can write poetry, flash fiction or a short story, but in this instance no more than 1000 words.
I will be waiting here in England with bated breath for your stories.
Once I have your stories we can move on to the next stage which will be to discuss them over the ether.
I will put up a few rules for the group of how we can comment on each others work and then we can have a go. We can then see how ideas to improve our writing will flow.
I will put a deadline of the end of October for this mission. I could have called it the September Short Story project, but I know that’s been used elsewhere at the moment here in England and don’t want to plagiarise! Good Luck to everyone who takes part!
