KPN continues with 4G network testing

Leading Dutch telecom company KPN resume 4G network testing for business clients in Utrecht with plans to make some huge investments in the new technology later on in the year.

Based on recent tests carried out on a narrow band network of 2.6 Ghz, speeds of up to 50 Mbps upstream and 25 Mbps down are very much achievable.

KPN was the first telecom services provider to support and promote the move to 4G networks. Countries like Germany, Sweden, South Korea and the United States have already begun with the introduction of the technology.

4G networks will make services like roaming increasingly possible and affordable in the long term. KPN wants the networks to be operational before the end of the year.
